Breath fogged in front of her, blurring her view.
Jingle. Clink.
The warm amber light emanating from the few wrought-iron streetlamps did little to fend off the black-blue night. Trees whispered softly beside her, their breath teasing her hair and numbing her ears. She was too tired and too stiff to care about the hair in her face.
Clink-clink.
But she cared about that sound. It seemed distant, echoing, far-off in the dead hours between late night and early morning. It haunted her. Touched her.

| Just sittin' in my little corner of the galaxy... I've been drawing with the intent of making a living out of art since 8th grade, but I've recently decided to focus more on counseling as an actual career. I've got too many stories in my head and amazing characters locked up inside me to keep them down forever, though, so I'm focusing my sights on diving into the world of creative writing. I hope I remembered a life vest. Still, expect to see mostly drawings here. I didn't shell out my hard-earned cash for a tablet for nothing. |
